Installing marine hardware is no longer painful since Accon Marine's Surface Mount Folding Cleat entered the market. It mounts directly to the boat's surface and doesn't require cutouts or hole saws. This cleat won't leak into the boat, so neither drain tubes nor receptacles are needed. Eliminating snagged lines and tripping hazards, this stainless-steel cleat locks down when it's not in use and then springs up when the locking slide is retracted. Prices start at $42.96.
