At a glance, pontoon boats seem pretty similar, but upon closer scrutiny, they run the gamut from basic models that can get you out on the water for a modest sum all the way to the ultimate in luxury on the water. They're amazing boats that can be modestly powered from as little as 9.9 hp, all the way to an 8.1L sterndrive fire breather. To get this much room on the water in a conventional boat, you'd need to spend many times the amount. Four-stroke power is the way to go because of its quietude.
