If you need a fishfinder that can handle a wide variety of conditions and has lots of display options, check out Northstar's new Explorer 467. The 640 x 480 pixel, 6.4-inch color display is paired with a dual-frequency sonar, which not only gives you exceptional water column detail, but also allows you to select optimum performance for either deep or shallow water. In addition to the standard mixed-frequency display, the 467 lets you pick either a narrow beam or a wide-angle beam to suit your fishing conditions. Other sounder display options include split- and full-screen zoom, A-scope, and a choice of white, blue or black backgrounds. Northstar also gives you a choice of color palettes to highlight bottom structure or a particular fish species. No matter your preference, its state-of-the-art digital sonar technology delivers incredible target detail and high-definition bottom structure in shallow or deep water. Plus, when it's purchased with an optional fuel kit, the Explorer 467 lets anglers track and display fuel data on screen along with depth, speed and temperature. $799.95.
