Alumacraft Tournament Pro 185 CS

First Impressions

The secret of successful anglers, whether they fish for a living on the pro tour or for fun on their home lake, is that they spend the maximum time actually fishing, not taking a leisurely boat ride or unraveling the arsenal of rods that always seem to get tangled up. With this in mind, Alumacraft designed the Tournament Pro 185 CS to be a boat that allows fishermen to make the most of their time on the water.

10-TournPro185CSThe portable Sto-N-Go rod case, which allows anglers to transport four rods straight from the car to the boat, where it attaches to the gunwale and is ready for action, is a clever innovation. The lockable main rod storage compartment holds nine rods with tubes to protect delicate rod tips and is conveniently located in the centerline. When it's time to run to the next spot, anglers can use the four-tube, flip-up rod holder on top of the gunwale. Live bait anglers are never far from a golden shiner with a 30-gallon baitwell in the bow and a 21-gallon 'well in the stern.

When powered with the maximum 175-hp outboard of your choice, the Tournament Pro 185 CS can run more than 50 mph and scoot over the chop with ease, thanks to the legendary Alumacraft ride. That ride comes courtesy of the extra-tough 2XB hull, which is twice as thick on the bottom and sports an even beefier aluminum skin for 2007. So if you want to spend the maximum time on the water actually fishing, Alumacraft's got your boat.
