Spring Boating Expo Heads To Michigan

By Jennifer Dennard

The 16th Annual Spring Boating Expo will be held at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Mich., from Thursday, March 13, through Sunday, March 16. The show will offer 2007 and 2008 model boats from 10 to 30 feet in length for cruising, fishing, skiing and wakeboarding. Noteworthy boats on display will include the Malibu Corvette Limited Edition Sport-V (See "Water Roadster," February 2008)  and the world’s first hybrid boat built by CraigCat.

Engines, motors, accessories, services, electronics, jewelry, clothing and related gear also will be on display from the show’s more than 100 exhibitors.

First-time buyers should be sure to stop by the Discover Boating Center at the expo. There, potential buyers will have the opportunity to speak with representatives about selecting the right boat for their needs, financing a boat purchase and the boating lifestyle.

Family-friendly activities will include time with Capt. Willie — the Great Lakes pirate who teaches children boating safety — and show mascot Salty Dog.
