State Boating Law Reference Guide Available Online
By Jennifer Dennard
The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) has made available its
updated “Reference Guide to State Boating Laws” at
www.nasbla.org under the
Publications & Resources heading. The updated guide provides summaries of state boating laws
and regulations covering such topics as operator age, boating education, boat noise, boating under
the influence, personal watercraft, personal flotation devices, and numbering and tilting, among
others.
The guide is a useful tool for boating law administrators who are working on new policies and programs, and wish to see what other administrators around the country are involved with.
The updates were the result of recent nationwide NASBLA surveys completed by boating law administrators.
