Boat Maker Charts a Relocation

TICONDEROGA, NY — A builder of iconic luxury boats, Hacker Craft, is moving its factory from the Essex County town of Ticonderoga south to Queensbury, saying it wants a bigger facility more convenient to the Capital Region for its globe-trotting customers to visit.

Hacker expects to move into Warren County this year, aided by a $600,000 state grant made last month through the Capital Region Economic Development Council, said company spokesman Ken Rawley on Wednesday.
