A Life Remembered: Boating community mourns Don's Quik Stop owner Don Niederer, 81

LINWOOD, MI — He was a character, laughs Joe Shotwell of his friend of 35 years, Sheldon H. "Don" Niederer.

Shotwell started each day in Don's Qwik Stop on Patterson, a party store in Bangor Township that Niederer owned, having a cup of coffee with his friend.
