Stocking to Help Sport Fishing in Lake Ontario

An almost extinct prey fish is being re-introduced into Lake Ontario.

American and Ontario government agencies, along with other wildlife organizations, have been stocking Lake Herring, also known as Ciscoes or chub, in to Irondequoit Bay [New York] on the American side of the lake.
