Less Is More

QuestionHow many coats of wax should I apply?

AnswerMany boaters have been brainwashed by wax manufacturers over the years into believing that applying two or three coats is the proper way to protect their vessel. This is simply not true. This philosophy exists for two reasons. Either the manufacturers believe their customers are inept and want them to do it twice in case they missed a spot, or they just want to sell more product to boaters.

I strongly believe in one good coat now and then one good coat three months from now. This will help protect your boat better over the long haul. Think of it like reapplying sunblock throughout the day. Spread that effort across your season, and you will have better results.
