They don't publish a deadrise but I found a shot of the stern. It looks to be somewhere around 20 degrees, but the keel is round.

If it's a Merc prop, it'll be stamped along the exhaust hub. As George says, look for numbers like 14X19, or 3X14X19, on the trailing snout, or the exhaust hub.

I would guess that they were only about 50 yards or less from the shoreline. This bar entrance has a cross current in it also making the waves extremley steep right past the bar entrance. They lost the dummy to a breaker set that washed the dummy into the beach. I thought it was just like a manikin, It tokk 3 good size coast guardsmen to pull the thing up the beach. At times I thought it was a real boady when I first spotted it in the water.

Yeah,
The standard twin screws on the 26 footer was a surprise.
I guess the speed isn't too bad if you thought of the 26 footer as a coastal fishing platform or sort of a poor man's sport fisher. I got the impression that these boats have a high dead rise hull angle to intentionally create a bigger wake for wake boarding. That also makes for smoother coastal cruising but lower top speeds. edited by George Jackson on 11/18/2009

Gosh,
It looks at times like the boat was in very shallow water!

Okay here are our local coasties doing a little training. Notice the dummy in the water? They would throw this thing out of the boat in the surf and try and rescue it. Wave heights were as big as the Eureka Bar but still pretty choppy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c20b8RuOmBU

The world of bass fishing is about to change forever. Yamaha unveiled their new V MAX SHO 4-stroke outboards 200/225/250 hp. It weighs 505 lbs, which is as light or lighter than anything on the market (not counting outdated carb technology). It also out-accelerates both two and four strokes. Just as fast or faster on the top end. I don't have pricing yet, but all things being considered, it looks like the bar has been raised. It uses a huge 4.2L V-6 block that is pretty compact. There's also a V-6 Offshore line that uses this block and comes in 225/250/300 hp flavors. More info and photos to follow. edited by Alan Jones on 11/19/2009

I've been on the 265 CSX and it's a classy ride for sure. So who goes skiing and fishing? We used to do it all the time in Naples, Florida, where I went to high school. If I had this boat back then I could have been popular. The only downside is the direct drive scheme that limits your top speed to mid-40s...pretty slow considering it had 800 hp.

Most likely it is stamped on the prop hub.
Look for something like 14X19. The first number is the prop diameter and the second number is the pitch.
You may have to remove the prop nut and washer to find it and possibly the prop if it's on the back side of the hub.
