Outer Banks Shipwreck in the Pamlico Sound Apparently has a History in WWII’s Pacific Theatre

A large vessel sunk in the shallow waters of the Pamlico Sound contains a mystery. But maybe not for long.

Could this rusted hulk, about 160 feet long, have accompanied troops into some of the most famous battles of World War II, such as at Iwo Jima and Okinawa?
