Boaters Collect Supplies for Haiti
By: BoatingWorld Staff
Miami, Florida | Monday, January 18, 2010 12:00:00 AM PST

After last week's earthquake struck Haiti, boaters in South Florida began collecting food and medical supplies to send to the devastated island nation.

Palladium Technologies in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., collected boxes of supplies donated by members of the United States Superyacht Society. Along with medical supplies, food and clothing, Palladium Technologies will send a generator donated by RPM Diesel.

Palladium's owner told the media that employees from GMT and Marsh Insurance -- both companies in the marine industry -- had collected relief supplies by going door-to-door and asking for donations.
