BRAINERD, MN — The Lake Vermilion Resort Association has received a “pass-the-torch” gift for the 2015 Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener, which will be hosted on the lake of 40,000 acres of water and 365 islands.
The gesture by Tracker Boat General Manager Thad Jameson was done because he believes in Minnesota anglers. So the company donated the boat to the Lake Vermilion association as part of its partnership for next year’s Governor’s Fishing Opener, which this year was held on Gull Lake in the Brainerd Area.
“We had such a great experience as a sponsor in last year’s opener so when the opportunity came up to put in a proposal, we didn’t hesitate,” Jameson said before handing over the 2015 Targa 18 Walk Through to LVRA President Jay Schelde.
