Cadillac, Michigan, Jan. 8, 2013 – Rec Boat Holdings has launched a brand new Scarab package to the existing 23- and 25-foot Wellcraft Fisherman models, creating two new boats with the iconic high-performance brand name. Consumers will see the new boats at the upcoming Toronto International Boat Show and the Miami International Boat Show.
“We are excited to expand our Wellcraft offering with these new packages,” said Roch Lambert, group president, Rec Boat Holdings. “Our dealers have provided valuable input on our Wellcraft line since we have begun the upgrades to many of our models. Adding the Scarab package to the 23 and 25 Fisherman was a result of this insight, and we feel it will provide the consumer with an exciting fishing package in the right price range and allow us to expand our Scarab product offering into markets where our 30 and 35 Scarab models are not practical.”
The new Scarab 23 and Scarab 25 will both be equipped with a number of custom upgrades. The design vision for the project was to deliver a look that is edgy, technical and sporty. The cockpit accent vinyl is solid Silvertex white with contrasting channel stitching. Seat inserts provide accent with the Scarab logo, embedded in the vinyl. Dash panels, including switch and gauge panels, are also carbon fiber and add the high performance feel to the cockpit. The interior is capped off with custom Scarab snap-down mat at the helm and matching side mats providing protection for rods while in the stored position. An upgraded JL Audio system with six speakers provides tunes for those long fishing days. Exterior eye-popping Scarab graphics come in three color choices — red, black or grey. Or, a solid red with black hull two-tone option is available.
The new Scarab package starts at $6,000 (retail) and is available now for consumer orders. Visit wellcraft.com for more information.
