I have a 2006 Yamaha SX230HO. What could be the problem when one engine starts normal and the second doesn’t even fire up? I thought it was the key but then the last time out the problem switched engines. So weird. The battery is good, throttle is in neutral, and everything else is working perfectly.

Since the problem switched engines, and the problem involves starting, I’d look to the neutral safety switches. Next time one engine won’t start or spin over, hold the key hard to the right and very carefully rock the throttle to get a positive neutral connection.
