When a company only builds one model, it had better be a good one, and Massachusetts based Danalevi delivers a one-punch knockout with it 24 Furina. We guarantee it’s nothing like anything you’ve ever seen on the water, and if you like for others to gaze longingly at your vessel, this is your dreamboat. With a shearline that swoops down dramatically amidships then back up again before curving gracefully down at the stern, it’s a “futuretro” visual statement, but what’s going on in the cockpit is also pretty interesting.
The one-piece curved acrylic windshield is anchored with b illet aluminum brackets and gives it an English roadster look. There’s more billet in the air scoops on the rear deck. Boarding the Furina 24 is via the centerline walkthrough that’s accessible from the sculpted, extended swim platform that has a recessed boarding ladder. In the cockpit, the automotive theme continues with the calfskin-like upholstery that’s sculpted and has muscular headrests on the stern bench that blend into the rear deck. At the helm, the theme continues with triple-bullet gauge pods and a Momo sport wheel. The twin bucket seats for the crew have flip-up bolsters and a wraparound design that securely cradles occupants. In between, there’s a Garmin glass cockpit display in the center console that’s positioned more for its automotive looks than practical use, but hey, this is a statement piece, it’s going to be a little quirky. Cockpit air conditioning and chilled cup holders are two options that will definitely make up for the lack of a silhouette-destroying Bimini top.
The Danalevi 24 Furina’s standard power is the new-gen Volvo Penta 350 hp 6.0L V-8 that will get it scooting near 60 mph. And with a deep-V deadrise of 22 degrees, the hull is designed to slash rather than pound its way through the waves. The only thing that’s liable to take a pounding is your bank account, considering the price tag, which begins at $159,655. But what price love?
