Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
1255 AM EST Thu Mar 5 2026

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Light southeast winds are expected today with surf
heights generally 1 to 2 feet. On Friday, slightly
stronger onshore flow coupled with slightly higher
surf heights and increasing periods is expected to
result in a high risk of rip currents for the
panhandle beaches. Looking ahead to the weekend,
persistent onshore flow with surf heights of 2 to
3 feet and long periods is expected to continue
to result in a high risk of rip currents along
the panhandle beaches.
