.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

...HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT BAY, GULF, AND FRANKLIN COUNTY
BEACHES...

The Rip Current Statement was extended to now include Bay County where
single red flags are flying late this morning. The high rip current
risk is thanks to a continued onshore southerly swell where 2-ft surf
heights will be common. The risk will increase to all beaches over
the next couple of days.


Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Bay...........................RED
State Park Gulf Beaches.......RED
West Facing Gulf Beaches......RED
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....RED
Franklin......................RED
