MarineMax Vacations Donates to the Rejuvenation of the British Virgin Islands

CLEARWATER, FL (April 2, 2018) – To aid in the rejuvenation of the islands, MarineMax Vacations has donated $10,000 to the Road Town Primary School through the Rotary Club of Tortola.

“We are honored to receive this gift from MarineMax Vacations. We have great plans to make the most of it and intend to create an even better environment for learning,” said Cherilyn Anderson, principal of St. George’s Primary School.

The Rotary Club of Tortola connects passionate people to exchange ideas, forge friendships, and above all, take action to change the community for the better. In collaboration, they utilize the knowledge of their members to tackle the most persistent problems, finding effective ways to enhance health, stability, and prosperity.

St. George’s Anglican Church in the British Virgin Islands founded St. George’s Primary School. They are committed to working together with stakeholders to ensure a safe and nurturing setting is created for students, teachers, and parents. St George’s Primary School offers the full package of good education, small classroom size, and a faith-based background.

“The British Virgin Islands has welcomed us and helped us to succeed. In return, we are happy and proud to support such a wonderful community in their time of need,” Stated Dave Bigge, regional president of MarineMax.

The destruction caused by Hurricane Irma in the British Virgin Islands was significant, but the community and people in the islands have been hard at work to restore paradise. MarineMax Vacations has been proud to support their efforts. To aid in the rejuvenation of the islands, and support the charter season, MarineMax donated a percentage of reservation fees made for travel between December 1, 2017 to March 1, 2018 aboard their charter fleet in the British Virgin Islands.
