Correct Craft Employees Serve in Jamaica

ORLANDO, FL (July 9, 2018) – In the past 10 days more than 60 employees from several Correct Craft companies traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica, on employee service trips. There were two groups of employees traveling between June 29 and July 8.

Employee volunteers from Correct Craft and its various subsidiaries (Nautique, Centurion, Supreme, SeaArk, Bass Cat, Yar-Craft, Bryant, Aktion Parks and Pleasurecraft Engine Group) banded together to help Naz Children’s Center, a school outside of Montego Bay. During the trip, Correct Craft employees served the school by building and staining a fence, a pergola, and numerous picnic tables among other maintenance and repair projects. Food was also purchased and distributed to families within the community. Additionally, the Correct Craft team visited a 180-year-old Jamaican church to learn about the history of the church and donate AV equipment for their services.

This recent trip marked the eleventh year Correct Craft has taken employees to serve in various communities around the world. Previous service trips have been in Cambodia, India, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and throughout Central America and the Caribbean.

Centurion and Supreme President Paul Singer, who attended his first Correct Craft international service trip this year, said, “It was an honor to see firsthand in Jamaica the Correct Craft culture of Making Life Better and I was thrilled that several of our employees from Centurion and Supreme could participate. Our team at Centurion and Supreme is committed to our local community and serve it regularly, but it was also exciting to serve the school in Montego Bay, alongside employees from our fellow Correct Craft companies.”

Also joining the group in Jamaica was Nautique President Greg Meloon who stated, “The Nautique Team has embraced the culture of serving our community both locally and globally as part of our Nautique Cares initiative. Their willingness to volunteer on this summer’s project in Jamaica demonstrates the compassion and motivation at the heart of our team.”

Bill Yeargin, president and CEO of Correct Craft, stated, “Over the past 11 years our employees have traveled the globe serving the less fortunate and we were honored to help Naz Children’s Center in Jamaica. We have an amazing team of people who embrace our culture of Making Life Better and I am honored to serve with them!”
