Evinrude Announces Sponsorship of John Gillespie’s Waters and Woods

STURTEVANT, Wis., – BRP, a world leader in powersports, announced Evinrude will be the engine sponsor of John Gillespie’s Waters and Woods television program. The program provides a current news source on local Midwestern fishing. Resource preservation is an important focal point of each show as well as providing tips, techniques and the latest products to help viewers be more successful on their outdoor excursions.

“After many years in this industry, we are very excited to work with Evinrude,” said John Gillespie, host and principal, Waters and Woods. “Our new Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines have incredible torque, which gives such a rush and adds a level of excitement to the show. The fuel efficiency makes it a practical matter, as we can stay on the water filming while using less fuel than any other outboard we’ve used. The fact that they also produce the lowest emissions of any engine available fits right in with the purpose of the show, which is to inform our viewers techniques and products that protect and preserve the environment while they go out and enjoy the beauty of nature. Evinrude is the perfect partner.”

“Environmental protection is important to Evinrude, which is why our engines have up to 75 percent lower emissions than any combustion outboard available,” said Olivier Pierini, Evinrude director of global marketing and strategic planning. “Waters and Woods’ commitment to conservation and protecting our resources makes our partnership a natural fit. We are happy to support John and his show as he helps his viewers get the most out of their outdoor activities.”
