A strong area of low pressure tracks across the Great Lakes into
Quebec today, pushing a strong cold front across the local waters
later this morning into early this afternoon. Elevated winds and
seas are expected both ahead of and behind the front. Gale
conditions are forecast across the coastal waters, Chesapeake Bay,
and Lower James River. Conditions improve late tonight into
Saturday. Another cold front crosses the waters late Sunday, with
another round of elevated winds likely.
