.SYNOPSIS FOR THE TIDAL POTOMAC AND MD PORTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY...
High-end small craft conditions are likely with strong southerly
winds Thursday evening ahead of a strong cold frontal passage. Gales
will be possible early Friday morning as a line of heavy showers
moves over the waters with the actual front. After a brief lull
behind this line, strong post-frontal winds are expected Friday
afternoon into the evening as well, Gales likely north of North
Beach MD and in the Upper Potomac, SCAs likely south. A brief break
in winds is expected for the first half of Saturday, but strong
southerly winds Saturday night will likely necessitate Small Craft
Advisories once again.
