to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
America, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Wave Detail will include details about the period and direction
of origin for the highest energy waves. Long-period swells coming
from a different direction than the wind would be included in the
Wave Detail.

Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas

.SYNOPSIS...A very weak cold front over the southern Florida
Peninsula and southern Gulf of Mexico will move southward
overnight and Saturday, becoming stationary over the Straits of
Florida. A brief surge of moderate to fresh northerly breezes will
follow the front, peaking late tonight and early Saturday. A
continental high pressure cell will advance eastward from the
southeastern United States to the western North Atlantic this
weekend. The high will be reinforced by cold continental air
Sunday and Sunday night, and fresh to strong northeast to east
breezes are expected to develop across all Florida Keys coastal
waters Sunday night, persisting through at least Christmas Eve.
