.Synopsis for Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out
60 NM including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote
Blanche Bays...

Winds will steadily decrease and seas will fall throughout the
remainder of today, falling below advisory criteria at sundown
tonight. High pressure moves down into the region tonight before
dipping to the east Friday morning. A return to onshore flow will
result until the next frontal passage late Sunday.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will likely develop
ahead of and accompany the cold front on Sunday. Much stronger
wind and sea conditions will come from this frontal passage due to
such strong high pressure building in behind it. Extremely
hazardous seas and gale force winds are likely by Monday. Low
water conditions will also result from such strong offshore flow
at the start of the work week.
