Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
1229 PM EST Thu Dec 18 2025

.SYNOPSIS...

A trough will lift northward as a warm front today with increasing
showers over the waters with afternoon isolated thunderstorms as a
cold front approaches the region from the northwest. Winds from the
southeast this morning will become southerly and increase exercise
caution conditions offshore by this afternoon. Winds and seas will
increase further over the Northeast Florida offshore waters to small
Craft Advisory levels by mid afternoon with these conditions then
spreading into the offshore Southeast GA waters by early evening.
Winds will shift to westerly by Friday morning as a cold front moves
through the waters, turning northwesterly and then northerly Friday
afternoon into Friday evening.

High pressure will settle over the local waters during the weekend,
allowing for winds and seas to diminish. A weakening cold frontal
boundary will approach our region from the north on Monday as strong
high pressure builds to the north and wedges down the southeastern
seaboard as another coastal trough develops over our local waters.
This feature may develop showers over our local waters early next
week. Small Craft Advisory conditions will likely develop after
midnight on Sunday night as northeasterly winds surge, with elevated
seas likely persisting through Tuesday as onshore winds only
gradually subside.
