Coastal Waters Forecast for Massachusetts and Rhode Island
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
704 AM EDT Wed Apr 1 2026

Coastal waters from the Merrimack River MA to Watch Hill RI out
to 25 NM

ANZ200-020000-
704 AM EDT Wed Apr 1 2026

.Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters...
A backdoor cold front stalled out just north of Cape Cod Bay briefly
lifts back north as a warm front across our northern waters early
Wed morning. This will be very short-lived as this boundary will
drop back south across our waters late Wed morning and
afternoon, shifting winds to the NE.

High pres over Quebec will result in gusty NE winds across the
waters Thu. This high then shifts east followed by a couple waves of
low pres tracking across Quebec Fri into the weekend...which may
result in winds turning to the SW at times.
