The FCV-295 is a state-of-the-art, color digital sounder developed for various professional fishing activities. The tool showcases a 10.4″ LCD screen that is bonded, boasting fog-free visibility even under direct sunlight. The echo display option ranges between 8 to 64 colors, the selection of which depends on the strength of the returned echo.
Features and Capabilities
- FURUNO Free Synthesizer (FFS) Transceiver: This feature allows for a broad choice of operating frequencies. Users can pick any two frequencies from 28 to 200 k Hz, tailor-made for their fishing operations. The output power capacity ranges between 1 to 3 k W.
- Display Modes and Functions: A wide range of display modes and functionalities. These provide straightforward and user-friendly data to the operators.
- Furuno Digital Filter (FDF): Enhances the gain to deliver clear images of underwater conditions. Targets close to the seabed, be it fishing reefs or individual fish, can be detected with absolute clarity, thanks to the digital filter’s noise elimination characteristic.
- Operating Frequency Adjustment: Once the FURUNO transducers are set to the FCV-295, the frequency range becomes visible in the menu for easy adjustment. For instance, with the FURUNO 82B-35R transducer, users can select any operating frequency from 66 to 109 k Hz, which proves beneficial for vessels targeting diverse species or during interference caused by the fish finders of other vessels.
- Transmission rate: More than 30% faster than traditional fish finders, enabling acquisition of more detailed information of the underwater conditions. The AUTO transmission function of the FCV-295 adjusts the rate based on the water depth, providing detailed detection of seabed targets.
