State Revises Plan for Rock Reef Near Boating Hangout Grass Island

In response to objections from boaters, the state has altered its plans to construct a rock reef near Grass Island in the Niagara River. The reef, which could be completed by 2021, will be situated closer to the island than initially planned. Despite the change, boaters will still be confronted with deeper water than they are accustomed to at the popular gathering and party spot.
