However, the price of fluorocarbon lines is higher than monofilament lines.

Braided lines consist of several strands of fibers, including Dacron, Spectra, and Dyneema. Braided lines are the most durable and are the go-to choice for anglers targeting large, powerful fish. Braided lines tend to have a smaller diameter, making them more sensitive and allowing anglers to feel subtle bites. However, they require a more delicate touch when handling due to their high level of sensitivity.

Wire lines, also known as wire leaders, are most commonly used when targeting predatory fish that have sharp teeth. The wires are typically made of stainless steel or other similar materials and are less prone to breaking than other lines. However, wire lines are more rigid, making them less sensitive. Therefore, they are not as desirable for anglers who want to feel the slightest twitch or bite of the fish.
