I just bought a 17-foot bass boat with a 115 hp outboard that I plan to trailer often. The owner’s manual says not to trailer with the engine tilted up, but when it’s tilted down the skeg barely clears the asphalt — and a “transom saver” doesn’t fit my rig. What am I supposed to do?
